Product Description

Homogenizing furnace with cooling chamber and 3D trolley 20tons

Product introduction

This complete 20-ton natural gas homogenizing unit is professionally developed for the homogenization heat treatment of aluminum billets. The whole package comprises a gas heating homogenizing furnace, dedicated cooling chamber and combined material handling trolley. This equipment effectively fixes the problems of inconsistent chemical composition and defective internal structure on aluminum billets, greatly improving the machinability of aluminum materials in subsequent processes. Its daily production capacity can reach around 60 tons.

The main furnace is divided into three independent temperature control areas, fitted with six high-efficiency gas burners and three dual-speed circulation fans made of heat-resistant stainless steel. The temperature control precision of the whole furnace is controlled within ±5℃, and the temperature deviation inside the furnace during operation also keeps at ±5℃. The maximum working temperature is set at 620℃, and the standard heating cycle lasts 4 to 6 hours. This unit runs on natural gas with a heat value of 8400 kcal per cubic meter, and the gas consumption is controlled below 30 cubic meters for each ton of aluminum processed. The furnace body is fabricated with section steel and steel plates, and lined with thick refractory fibers and fire bricks to deliver outstanding heat insulation.

The electrically operated furnace door is equipped with clamping and sealing components, which guarantees excellent airtightness during operation.

Supporting the main furnace is a 20-ton cooling unit equipped with multiple cooling fans and a water spray cooling system. It achieves a rapid cooling speed of over 300℃ per hour. High-temperature aluminum billets at 580℃ can be cooled down to 100℃ within two hours, which perfectly preserves the solid solution structure of 6063 aluminum alloy.

The integrated material trolley has a rated load of 20 tons. Adopting hydraulic driving mode, its moving speed is 7.5 meters per minute. The entire production line is managed by a fully automatic PLC system with a color touch panel. The system stores more than ten sets of heating parameters, and supports real-time temperature monitoring and overheating protection. Featuring stable operation, low energy consumption, high automation level and superior safety, this production line is an ideal choice for large-scale aluminum billet heat treatment production.

FAQ

What are the differences between air cooling/mist cooling systems for homogenization furnaces, and what operating conditions require mist cooling to be selected?

Air cooling relies on ambient temperature air circulation for cooling, with a gentle cooling rate, suitable for 6063 and small diameter aluminum rods, lower cost, and no wastewater generation; Mist cooling, through high-pressure water mist heat exchange, significantly increases the cooling speed and can shorten the entire furnace production cycle by 20% to 40%.

The large diameter 6061 aluminum rod, 5 series high magnesium alloy, and batch extrusion production line must be equipped with mist cooling to accurately control the cooling gradient, avoid excessive residual stress inside the aluminum rod, and improve equipment turnover efficiency.
