Recycled aluminum feedstock has variable composition. Oxide scale and oil contamination on scrap generate substantial alumina inclusions during melting. Furnace refining can only remove large slag particles. Micro-sized suspended inclusions flow into casting and trigger cracks and surface defects, raising scrap rates. Recycled aluminum plants prioritize continuous production and cannot frequently stop for secondary refining, calling for in-line purification equipment to treat molten aluminum in launders.
Installed on the outlet launder of the holding furnace, twin rotors shear inert gas into abundant dispersed micro bubbles. When bubbles rise, dissolved hydrogen is removed, while suspended alumina particles in the melt are physically captured. Hydrogen and slag removal are completed simultaneously without interrupting continuous casting for long-run operation.

The unit fits recycled aluminum billet casting, recycled aluminum slab and recycled aluminum extrusion billet lines. The insulated refractory cabinet limits melt temperature loss, and the compact structure minimizes launder modification work.
Designed for recycled aluminum production, the in-line degassing unit removes hydrogen and fine alumina inclusions before casting, stabilizes melt quality and meets the continuous melting and casting requirements of recycled aluminum foundries.
