Logic relationship and overall control summary of the first four preparation processes for the commissioning of the new

2026-10-13

The four preparatory work before the new smelting furnace is put into operation must have a strict logical sequence, and the process order must not be reversed or any link omitted:

  • The first step is to complete the cleaning and debugging of the flue system, and open up the smoke exhaust channel;
  • The second step is to carry out natural drying at room temperature to remove free water from the surface of the furnace lining;
  • The third step is to perform a stepped oven to remove deep moisture and sinter into a refractory lining;
  • The fourth step is to implement pure aluminum furnace cleaning to remove furnace impurities and passivate the furnace lining;

After all four processes have been accepted and qualified, the melting furnace can truly complete all the preparation work before opening, and can be officially put into aluminum alloy melting and casting production for the target alloy's batching, melting, refining, settling, and casting operations. From the perspective of the quality of the entire process of aluminum alloy melting and casting, the preparation work before starting a new furnace is not a simple "pre ignition cleaning step", but a pre core process that determines the service life of the melting furnace, the yield of aluminum alloy ingots, the quality of the melt, and the production energy consumption in the following years.

Omitting natural drying can lead to cracking and scrapping of the oven; Heating up the oven too quickly can cause extensive damage to the furnace lining and excessive hydrogen absorption pores in the subsequent aluminum liquid; Skipping furnace cleaning will result in a high long-term slag inclusion and waste rate; Failure to clean and debug the flue will result in oven failure and a significant increase in production energy consumption.
For aluminum alloy melting and casting enterprises, it is necessary to establish preparation standards for new/repaired furnaces before opening, strictly control the cycle, temperature, and operation details of the four processes, and build a solid foundation for the quality of melting and casting ingots from the hardware source.
